The 10th  Korea Prime Minister Cup International Amateur Baduk Championship was held from the 22nd November ~ 27th November, 2015 in Seoul, South Korea.

One of Brunei’s best player, Stefan MAH (China 2-dan) who had competed in the event achieved his best result of 3-wins out of 7-games, positioned him at 31st place out of 52nd. He even got special awarded for being the 2nd place!

Recently, there was an unexpected guest from Thailand visited Brunei for business trip and contacted us (Brunei Darussalam Go Association).

The committee brought him out for supper and had a couple of Go game with him at Radisson Hotel.

Figure 3 (52~86), Black had a good fight from move 70~86 getting a thick center.

Figure 4 (86~111), Black Move-89 could try to tenuki to play strongest move at A to test White’s life and death. White Move-116 was forcing Black to capture at Move-109 and threaten the game at Ko Move-111B, C, D and were potential Ko threat.

Regardless, the game was fun.

The 11th China Nanning ASEAN Weiqi International Invitational Tournament  (第十一届中国南宁—东盟围棋国际邀请) which was held in the city of Nanning, Guangxi, China from 25th October ~ 30th October, 2015 ended successfully.

Our best female player, Jiahui (china 1-dan) had made her best performance in her solo-debut in Female Division earning her 2-wins out of 6-wins, result the standing of 13th out of 16th position.

On the other hand, Sid (china 1-dan) who had been several International Tournament had bested his result to 3-wins out of 7 games, positioned him at 27th place out of 32.

Lastly, Ray (5-kyu) who had been promoted from 8-kyu, had made tremendous effort considering this is his first Individual International after the Thai-University Go Tournament 2014, achieving 3-wins out of 7 games, positioned himself at 26th place out of 32.

Regardless, the team had put in their best effort and may this International Tournament enlighten them to be better for next year.
